The Continental ProContact RX ContiSilent is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Continental offers a 45-60,000 mile treadwear warranty with specific sizes. The optimized tire shape maintains constant road contact which improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The tire does not deform under the driving pressure, and it is quick and precise in its response to the driver’s commands.
The tire was manufactured with the ContiSilent technology. This reduces the road and pattern noise heard in the vehicle’s cabin by placing a sound-absorbing foam on the inner lining of the tread. The road noise travels through the tread area but they are not able to pass through the foam. This offers quiet driving experience, which is further enhanced by the lowered vibration levels thanks to the optimized and maintained tire shape.
The Continental ProContact RX ContiSilent’s special high grip silica-based compound increases the all weather traction. The wide tread grooves avoid dangerous hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. The better road grip in dry, wet and winter weather increases the tire’s safety year round. The silica compound also lowers the rolling resistant by taking the driving pressure off of the tire with the better road grip. The lessened rolling resistance decreases the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, offering a more fuel efficient drive.
